Commonly known as the "Public Garden" by the Châtelleraudais, the square Gambetta, created in 1874 and recently remodeled, has the particularity of having one of the rare monuments of the French Revolution, built in 1890 for the centenary celebration. Cut in two by the road, the garden houses, in its second part, an immutable and charming neogothic manor house of 1898 which is the old house of the guard and is ignored by the modern frenzy. Its wood-paneled façade comes from an old century house. Tree lovers will have noticed the bicentenary high of 35 meters and whose circumference reaches 8.30 meters!
