Beautiful 18th-century residence tastefully decorated with restored antiques. Each room is different.

Manu and Juan are delighted to welcome you to their house of character, where they have tastefully decorated five bedrooms using salvaged materials. En-suite bathrooms with showers, basins and toilets. Breakfast by the pool accompanied by birdsong. Kitchen available or table d'hôtes by reservation near an open fire. Pleasant courtyard, flower-filled terrace, summer kitchen with barbecue and large swimming pool with deckchairs. Dogs are welcome and will be looked after during your walks in the surrounding area.

Merci à Emmanuel et Juan pour leur accueil très chaleureux ,leur gentillesse et leur excellent repas ,on s'est régalés ! Chambre nickel !
Ils mettent toute leur énergie pour que l'on soit à l'aise et comme chez nous et ça c'est très appréciable

Un havre de Paix ! TOUT est topissime : la disponibilité, la gentillesse, la serviabilité, la bienveillance, et surtout un accueil irréprochable ! La maison est décorée avec raffinement dans toutes les pièces avec une élégance qui ne laisse pas insensible. Il y règne un calme apaisant nuit et jour avec un très grand jardin arboré et fleuri tel un parc botanique. Une très grande piscine chauffée couronne le tout au milieu de ce havre de paix. Nous avons dîné à leur table, un repas très copieux, superbement présenté et délicieux. Que des produits frais de chez eux ou des producteurs locaux : UN DELICE pour les papilles. Alors pour conclure la Maison Porte Bonheur est également La maison DU Bonheur. Merci pour ce séjour. Nous reviendrons au plus vite c'est certain !

We've booked a room at Maison Porte-Bonheur in Chantelle. We're travelling with our little babygirl of 16 months old and we're coming all the way from Bruges (Belgium). We asked if we could arrive a little earlier so we could drive (7 hours) during the night. In that way, our babygirl could sleep in the car. But instead of suggesting a solution (e.g. wait at the pool until the room is ready, go eat or visit something in a place nearby) they just sent us away in a very RUDE, UNFRIENDLY way and asked us to book another hotel 3 days before arrival! We've never ever experienced this before... Very disappointing way to start your holidays, especially because there was written in the reviews that this was a child-friendly place... We've already booked something else where we were immediately welcome, even before check-in. They perfectly understood our situation. That's what hospitality looks like... Can't recommend this place at all!

Found this guest house when we broke down on the motorway and had to wait a few days for repair. What an amazing find this was. The owner is so helpful and friendly, really could not do enough for us. The room was very comfortable and I just loved the decor. The outside space is great for relaxing with a pool for those staying at a warmer time of year. I can't recommend this place enough, peaceful, quiet and very beautiful with traditional old buildings and great scenery. I now have this guest house as a favourite on my maps and will make it a destination on future trips through France.
