ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF CIVRAY
Municipal museum presenting archaeological finds in the Civraisian region, from prehistory to the last centuries
Looking for the Civray Archaeological Museum? Nothing could be easier: go to the Civray Tourist Office, because this is where the tour starts. At the entrance, you will be given a brochure presenting the different objects you will find among the collection and you will stroll around the gallery at your leisure during the visit of about 45 minutes. The Municipal Museum presents the archaeological finds found in the Civic Region, from prehistory to the last centuries, including the Gallo-Roman and medieval periods. In particular, it has a copy of the famous reindeer bone discovered in the Chaffaud caves in Savigné, which we recommend you to discover through a specific dedicated route. A real treasure chest, for all lovers of prehistory, rare pieces and Civray, of course.
