CHATEAU DE JOUSSÉ
This castle located in the center of the village, has a magnificent frame in the shape of a boat turned over
Located in the center of the village, this building does not lack allure. In 1489, Ithier du Theil obtained from Charles VIII the authorization to fortify the family manor. The 15th century castle was damaged during the Second World War and destroyed soon after. Today, the site retains its 15th century turrets which frame a 16th century dwelling. One should not miss the bas-relief carved with the coat of arms. It was above the double entrance door and now adorns the facade. Observe also its magnificent frame in the shape of an overturned boat.
