ROMAN CHURCH OF SAINT-HILAIRE
Parish church, one of the charming Romanesque churches of the region, located in Leigné-sur-Usseau
The parish church of Leigné-sur-Usseau is one of those charming Romanesque churches of the region! Its particularity lies in its bell tower-porch added during works in the 19th century. You can cross the centuries by contemplating this tower and its high stone spire before entering the part dating from the 12th century. In the presbytery is a superb chalice identified and dated 1668, registered as a historical monument. Don't forget to go upstairs to admire the bronze bell!
