SAINT PIERRE DU MARCHE CHURCH
Listed building with a remarkable stained glass window depicting The Miracle of the Oats
This building, listed as a Monument Historique since 1921, was founded under the reign of Philippe-Auguste in 1214. It is a fine example of a blend of styles. A remarkable stained glass window depicts the Miracle of the Oats. Urbain Grandier, a priest accused of witchcraft, officiated here. He was burned in the public square in 1634. The recently renovated Renaissance portal invites you to discover the interior. The church was pillaged by the Huguenots during the Wars of Religion.
