HOUSE OF ROMANCE
La Maison de l'Art Roman, a unique collection of Romanesque artefacts.
The House of Romanesque Art is the result of the acquisition by the city in 1998 of a collection of pieces from the local historical heritage, that of an enthusiast: the notary Henri Aymard (1878-1956). The majority of the pieces presented are from the Romanesque period, and all the periods of sculptural and religious art share the square meters: a garden fitted out with two Romanesque voussures from the 13th century and five rooms present 35 Romanesque capitals from the 12th century from the religious monuments of the region, as well as a dozen or so tailloirs.
