ROCK CASTLE
This late château is one of the finest seigniorial residences in the Vienne region, and houses the Order of Malta museum.
It is one of the most beautiful seigniorial residences of the Vienne, by the harmony of its whole. Overlooking the valley of the Belle, built at the end of the 15th century until the 18th century, its facade mixes Gothic and Renaissance sculptures that frame four round towers. It opens onto a magnificent French garden designed by Le Nôtre and a Gothic chapel built around 1530 with magnificent stained glass windows. In the outbuildings of the castle, the only museum in France dedicated to the Order of Malta retraces the history of the knights with the help of objects, maps, armors...
