La Cadoue is a true haven of peace, with the Gîte de France label. Christiane and Gabriel welcome guests to their traditional Poitevin farmhouse. On site, your hosts will tell you all they know about the past of this place. Quiet and restful, Rêve Bleu or Rêve Nature, it's up to you to choose the room that will welcome you for the night. The 6-person gîte is housed in the former goat barn, while the 5-person Poétou is a completely refurbished Poitevin residence. With its swimming pool, spa and walks through woods and fields, it's up to you to make the most of your stay.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Lucie and family and were looked after very well during our stay.
Our room - Dream - was very comfortable and decorated in a charming mix of modern and traditional styles.
The dining room and a small adjacent is available for the exclusive use of guests and we were even able to use the laundry facilities.
As my wife was taking her meals at the Abbey I took breakfast at La Cadoue. Each day there was fresh juice and coffee, home made yoghurt, baked apples or fruit puree, and a variety of breads and cakes including brioche, pancakes, etc.
It is just 500 metres across the field to the Abbey and just a few kilometres to Vivonne where you can do grocery shopping or fill up with fuel. There are a few cafes and restaurants nearby but many more within a 20 minute drive to Poitiers.
The airport is also just a short taxi ride if you are travelling by plane but a car is useful.
A truly beautiful place in a beautiful, quiet setting!
