Located in the commune of Marçay, 18 km from Poitiers, the Château de Bierson, classified as a Historic Monument for its stained glass window in 1989, is part of a rich cultural heritage in the region. Mentioned as early as 1489, the castle would have burned down in the 19th century, but was rebuilt between 1850 and 1856, keeping some elements of the older building. The central building is cut out by a pavilion. Inside, the building features paneled lounges and dining rooms and a wooden spiral staircase with stained glass by Henri Carot.
