This Baroque chapel houses 75 votive paintings from 1790 to 1952
The Baroque-style chapel was built on the site of the hut of Saint Florent, a monk who came to the Hasel valley from Ireland and founded Haslach Abbey in the 7th century. According to legend, he cured King Dagobert's daughter. A pilgrimage to Haslach developed after his relics were transferred from Strasbourg to Niederhaslach in 810. People invoke her to heal animals, stomach ailments, hernias and gravel (kidney stones). Some very moving ex-votos have been deposited: 75 votive pictures painted between 1790 and 1952.
