CHÂTEAU SAINT-AUGUSTIN
Castle belonging to Blaise de La Souche, with a main building, an Italian-style dining room and outbuildings.
Mentioned in 1569 by Nicolas de Nicolay as a fortified castle belonging to Blaise de La Souche, Lord of Noyant. Bought in 1692 by Gilbert Cadier, baron of Veauce. It remained in the family until 1828, despite its sale as national property and the execution of its owner, Auguste de Veauce. It passed by marriage to the Rolland family. It consists of a main building topped by a belvedere and flanked by two lower wings. You will see the Italian-style dining room and the trophy room, then the common areas with the tack room, the stables and the chapel.
