CHATEAU GAILLARD
Emmanuel Bienvenu defines himself as a Nature Gardener. It is in Messemé that he cultivates his aromatic and medicinal plants, as well as his vines, since 2017, in biodynamics. On his 3 hectares, several grape varieties rub shoulders. There are the endemics (Plantet Noir, Villard Noir or Oberlin), the new varieties, hybrids Mucaris and Souvignier gris, and the traditional Chenin blanc and Pinot Noir. To grow and enhance his wines, Emmanuel uses 350-liter terracotta amphorae made in Loudun. Thanks to this ancestral transformation technique, the link between the vine and its clay-limestone soil continues and each amphora brings its own character to the wine.
