With its 6,900 hectares, the Moulière forest is undoubtedly the "green lung" of the Poitou urban area and the department. The Maison de la Forêt (Forest House), located at the Grand Recoin, was designed and inaugurated by the Montamisé town council in 1992. This imposing wooden building is a place of discovery, information, animations and exhibitions on the local environment. It is also the starting point of trails that explore the foliage of the vast forest.
