THE VINEYARD OF HAUT-POITOU
This vineyard covers more than 700 hectares, of which a hundred have received the AOC Haut-Poitou label, which has existed since 2010
The cultivation of this vineyard dates back to the year 276, during the Gallo-Roman era. Clay on chalky tuffeau gives a landscape of hills and slopes, which allows the Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon grapes to acquire finesse and length in mouth. The terroirs of Gamay, Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are located further south and west. Today, the vineyard covers more than 700 hectares, of which a hundred have been awarded the AOC Haut-Poitou label since 2010.
