Since 1983, the volunteers of the Nouaillé-1356 association have been bringing back to the small town the splendor of its medieval period through quality shows. It is indeed here that the famous battle of Poitiers took place in 1356 which saw the English capture the king of France, a definite advantage in the Hundred Years War. The ball opens in April with the dinner-show "Black Prince and Golden Lily". A travelling night show in May, and a climax at the end of June with a night market and a medieval day closed by the show "The Witch of Maupertuis".
