L'ISTANBUL
A pleasant bistro opposite the market in Poitiers, where you can enjoy excellent plates of Turkish specialties.
Behind the Notre-Dame church, it's like a little district in itself, popular and lively, with bistros lining the sidewalk and square in summer. This is where you'll find Turkish food, including traditional stuffed vine leaves, eggplant, feta omelette and the famous Istanbul chicken kebab, served with wheat, feta salad and white sauce since 1983. It's so pleasant to eat there, on the terrace, facing the bustling market, or inside, under the spider-lighting and in the orange-yellow of the pretty cement tiles, among the regulars. In Poitiers, Istanbul is an institution!
