HALTE JACQUAIRE

It is a stone's throw from the Saint-Hilaire church, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the Compostela stages, on one of the district's garage doors, that you can see the blue square with the yellow shell of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. Formerly the official accommodation of a school, the halt can accommodate up to ten pilgrims thanks to its three rooms and this for a modest fee. With its kitchen and large common room, the accommodation will satisfy walkers on the way to Tours. Indeed, Poitiers is located on the GR 654 and 48 long-distance hiking trails. The place is easily accessible, close to shops and the many steeples of Poitou.
