COMPAGNIE L'HOMME DEBOUT
De wicker, cut, cut, bent, moulded, adjusted, superimposed, Benoît Mousserion and his poitevine team give life to giant puppets. These are made in the new workshop of Vouneuil under Biard, in a bucolic setting, or on participatory sites around the world. The goal of this company, born in 2011, is to create improbable encounters at the sites and performances, to shake up the rhythm of a neighbourhood, to generate intense emotions in the sight of these light animated giants wandering through the streets, on the pyrotechnique pyrotechnique background. These slow, dreamlike and fascinating designs are of incredible poetry, complemented with wooden, metal or fabric decorations. Pure enchantment under the stars. The small wonders, up to 7,50 metres, have already made their show in Brazil at the street Festival in Porto Alegre or in the Netherlands, for the Rue Street Theatre Festival. We have seen them in the Couronneries, Incongruous, Incongruous and Altières, with their prodigious straw, the head between the buildings, or at the inauguration of the Léon Blum Viaduct, but still in Cognac, at the Coup de heaters festival or at the water of Hermione in Rochefort. The company prepares for 2018 a new show called the Red Ribbon that will take place over 3 days and will have 12 different scenes. To greet very low (or rather high) ladies Venus, Hawthorn or Eleonore…
