CHAPEL GESU
Founded in 1852 by the architect Tournesac, the Jesuit chapel is devoted to the name of Jesus and Notre-Dame de Bon-Secours on 20 June 1854 by Bishop Pius, Bishop of Poitiers. Surmounted by an arrow, she admires herself with a loss of sight from all around Poitiers. In 1870, it was closed to worship. In 1950 it became the centre of the archives of the Vienna department… Not really a place where one would spontaneously come. And then a hotel group imagines to slip a prestige hotel between these old walls. After 2 years of work: a successful bet! The architectural structure is perfectly preserved and even highlighted, especially with regard to the huge dining room with its columns and majestic naves. Surprisingly, it's really worth visiting this hotel. So if you spend the night… you may sleep near the heavens.
