SAINT GERMAIN CHURCH
Dedicated to Saint-Germain (Bishop of Paris), this small church, although coquette, is certainly not the most sumptuous of "the city to the hundred bell", and has lost its religious vocation for a long time. Built on the location of ancient Gallo-Roman thermal baths, it presents the originality of combining styles that have turned in turn to Poitiers: novel, Gothic gothic, flamboyant gothic, Renaissance style from Touraine. Abandoned in the Revolution, it was abandoned for a long time or used for a variety of purposes before being bought by the city of Poitiers in 1980, which completely restored it and transformed it into auditorium.
