BLOSSAC WATER TOWER
This water tower has four huge tanks on two levels, which can hold up to 4,200 m³ of water
Located in a protected area, this old gentleman, built between 1887 and 1889, is one of the oldest French water towers still in operation. It is equipped with four enormous tanks on two levels, which can contain up to 4,200 m³ of water. With its original truncated pyramid shape, it was renovated in 2017 and its ashlar cladding, semi-circular bays and restored glass windows are of the most beautiful effect. Note on the pediment the coat of arms of the city with the lion of the Duchy of Aquitaine. Visit during the World Water Days in March.
