ÎLOT TISON
An islet entirely rehabilitated by the Poitevins for strolling, picnicking or canoeing, paddling,...
Many old-timers had learned to swim at Poitiers-plage back in the days of the "guinguettes", when the dance floor was a hotbed of Sunday romance. It was a bit like Laurette's, it was nice... After many years as an industrial wasteland, the Îlot Tison has now been completely rehabilitated. Poitevins have reappropriated the site, and enjoy strolling through the meadow, picnicking on the grass, on the tables, or under the former sawmill's courtyard. You can also go canoeing, paddling or swimming in summer.
