CHARLES SQUARE VII
It is on this small square, completely refurbished after long archaeological excavations that uncovered a 13th century herb market, a stone's throw from the Corbuséan architecture of the François Mitterrand media library and the collège de La Providence, that a crocodilidé in cast aluminium has taken up residence. Designed by the sculptor artist Jean-Marie Appriou, the bug echoes another animal of the same species that once appeared on the gates of the Palace of the Counts of Poitou. You can admire the beast from the galvanized steel rings designed by designers Erwann and Ronan Bouroullec or from the terrace of the very good Corsican restaurant. Oh, the beast!
