LOUISE MICHEL GALLERY

Galerie Louise-Michel is located in the Bellejouane district, in southern Poitiers. Managed by the city, it supports young national or international artists becoming the exhibitor. In addition to the communication campaign précèdant the exhibition, which is supported by the city, the exhibition sees the creation of a catalogue that can serve as a visiting card for young exhibitors. The location of the gallery shows a willingness to work in this area. The themes addressed by artists are often linked to the architecture and history of the city, creating convergence between inhabitants and artists, past and present. In 2005, Alexandre Chevrier proposed a project around architecture. At the same time, the British exhibition Glen Baxter, in 2010, extended to the rest of the city and was located in the other cultural institutions of the city (St. Croix Museum, Maison de l'Architecture, Theatre Auditorium de Poitiers, etc.) and even on parking.
