HOLY CROSS GALLERY
The Saint Croix Gallery is not the back-shop of the St. Croix Museum, despite its geographical proximity to the St. Croix museum. It is an independent gallery held by Dominique Maltier. Creator, sculptor (music lovers and poet also…), mainly on metal, we feel that man full of ideas, that his hands challenge him to his bricoleuse, inventive head, probably envolée towards a wonderful heavens where we don't always have access. You will find in this great studio-gallery space that he likes consoles, whether he manufactures in models or in large format with the partnership of artisans or regional companies, because iron, you have to weld it, and that's not nothing. He likes opera and these furniture, for him, represent a stage space where he changes the shapes and light. Will you be seduced by this by the Flower dog, the time, or by the four-legged hen? Dominique Maltier is also a art merchant and sells in his gallery antique or modern art, Chinese art, paintings, antiques… which does not prevent him from giving place to temporary exhibitions. Confidence; If you notice an old piano in an angle, let's try, make the keys, we feel that he would like his workshop to vibrate to the sound of improvised little music. Dare!
