SAINT-JUST CHURCH
The church of Saint-Just in Pressac has many sculptures, with a gilded wooden tabernacle, and a simple nave
During the Hundred Years' War, the roof of the church of Saint-Just was raised to provide a defensive space. But it is well of the XIIth or XIIIth century that dates this church, composed of a simple nave. Inside and outside, numerous sculptures are present, mainly dedicated to bestiary and plants: griffon, chimera, basilisk and other snake-women decorate the capitals. The gilded wooden tabernacle, dated from the 18th century, is one of the most beautiful examples in the department. It was known for the miracle of the host on April 2, 1643.
