ARCHEOLOGICAL GARDEN OF BERUGES
An archaeological garden behind the museum, featuring Gallo-Roman vaults and the remains of the Murus Gallicus.
Located at the back of the museum, the archaeological garden enhances imposing Gallo-Roman vaults and conceals in the basement the remains of the Murus Gallicus which surrounded the Picton oppidum of Béruges. A lapidary museum where monumental blocks from the Gallo-Roman villa of Béruges and Merovingian sarcophagi from the necropolis of the town are gathered, it is the subject of a construction project, with the schools, of a Gallic village in reduction. Let us note the involvement of the friends of the Heritage!
