DOLMEN D'AILLÉ
Dolmen classified as a historical monument since 1932, dating from the Neolithic period in Saint-Georges-lès-Baillargeaux
Classified as a historical monument since 1932, this dolmen seems to date from the Neolithic period. It is a dolmen with a portico or angevin, that is to say that some slabs (here sandstone) support another one placed horizontally. That of Saint-Georges-lès-Baillargeaux is broken in two parts. This megalith has intrigued the population: we find acts mentioning it from the 16th century. In the 19th century, Abbot Gibaul discovered blue glass beads there.
