A superb fort restored by an association of passionate volunteers with their talent and taste for great history.

Restored with the talent and taste of great History by an association of passionate volunteers and opened to the public for more than twenty years, this site constitutes the best preserved Biehler type fort in Europe! This superb monument (European military architecture from the end of the ^19th century) is part of the German fortified belt of Strasbourg, built in 1872. You will visit the parade ground, the barracks, the artillery rooms, the rampart and its armament, the ditch and its defenses, the glacis and the surroundings of the fort.

Le petit parcours dans la forêt pour aller jusqu'au fort est vraiment agréable pour les petits comme pour les grands..les chemins autour du fort et après le fort sont eux aussi très bien. Un agréable moment de détente et de belles promenades à faire dans les environs.
