CHÂTEAU DE LA BROSSE
U-shaped castle of La Brosse, with 2 circular towers on each side, combining the defensive role with the residential part
A former 15th century stronghold belonging to the barony of Montmorillon, the buildings form a U shape. The rectangular building has two circular towers on each side which have kept their machicolation and a small covered way. The dwelling was rebuilt in 1637, the date is indicated on the door, but the interior was modified. The buildings that accompany it are later. A bretèche ensures the defense of the entrance door. Built in the early Middle Ages, this small castle combines the defensive role with the residential part.
