English pub offering a cuisine combining English and French dishes as well as pizzas, an open stage to sing on the spot

The Footbridge Tavern is an English pub in the Poitevin countryside! The premises, owned by the commune of Valdivienne, have been renovated and taken over by Julia and Stuart. This English couple fell under the spell of the region. With regularly renewed dishes, they offer a blend of English and French cuisine: fish and chips, beef, burgers... Next door, pizzas are available to eat in or take away. On the entertainment side, on the second Friday of each month, from 7.30pm, the microphone is open to all. Singers and bands also perform.

Tombé sur ce restaurant tenu par des anglais par hasard ????. Excellente cuisine et les propriétaires sont très sympa. Je vous invite à y aller ????

Quelle ambiance et quel accueil. C'est une vraie plongée dans la culture britannique. Même si le repas n'est pas top, rien pour le cadre et l'accueil hyper chaleureux il faut y aller

Trouvé par hasard cette taverne est située ds un village près d'une rivière, douce soirée après des kms de route. Patron anglais très accueillant, sympathique, souriant ainsi que le personnel. Petit repas simple juste ce que nous voulions et très bien cuisiné. Merci beaucoup pour ce moment de détente.

Un petit bijou dans un écrin de verdure, un très bon moment passé, le cadre est superbe au pied d'un beau chateau, la terrasse borde un petit cours d'eau, les propriétaires anglais très sympathiques ont une prononciation typique touchante et le repas est excellent; le seul regret c'est d'en habiter si loin. Plus que recommandé même si ça fait faire un détour
