The Château des Roches is one of the built elements of the heritage of Vendeuvre. The original dwelling was built in 1516, under the supervision of Jacques d'Ausseure, then mayor of Poitiers. It was then modified by Jehan d'Ausseure in the following century. The castle has a massive entrance châtelet, equipped with a drawbridge and machicolated towers. Nowadays, more people visit it than the outside. But what an exterior!
