LES TOURS MIRANDES
A 160-hectare site in Saint-Martin-la-Pallu, built to appreciate this Gallo-Roman town.
From the top of the belvederes, built to appreciate the site, one can imagine what this Gallo-Roman city must have been like, built from the 1st to the 3rd century AD, between Vendeuvre-du-Poitou and Chéneché. Discovered in the 19th century, the site was the subject of several excavation campaigns before its plan was truly established by an aerial photograph in 1976. Forum, theater, sanctuary, thermal baths, artisanal district, residential district, the Mirandes Towers site covers 160 hectares. A pleasant stroll in the heart of the remains.
