ÉGLISE SAINT HILAIRE
Voulême is a village located southwest of Civray and is part of the Communauté de communes du Civraisien en Poitou. At 8 km from Civray, the church of Saint-Hilaire (patron saint of Poitou) was remodeled in the 15th century. Crossed by the river Charente, Voulême offers a green setting which men had seen the advantages of since the Paleolithic era since tools (today exposed in the village hall) were discovered there at the end of the 19th century. Gallo-Roman remains have also been discovered and are now on display in the Civray archaeological museum.
