BANON HIGH CHURCH
This church, now "deconsecrated", is a high place of the local cultural life.
The medieval church was built in the upper town. First a chapel for the inhabitants of the castle, it officially became a parish church in 1350. Enlarged in 1652 and again in 1733, it was sacked during the Revolution before being restored in 1826. Since 2005, the High Church, now deconsecrated, is a high place of the local cultural life. From April to October, art exhibitions, theatrical performances, and concerts are organized there, allowing more than 20,000 visitors per year to enjoy its exceptional acoustics.
