Restaurant to eat traditional cuisine in a modern setting

At the Stendhal, you can go and eat traditional food, but not only. Situated in the heart of the cultural centre of Château-Arnoux, this restaurant offers a menu with salads and well-made dishes such as a cod with cabbage flower cream; duck breast with quince chutney; tartar and gorilla (pan-fried tartar always in great demand) or for dessert its chocolate profiterole. In summer, the large terrace is very pleasant. The setting is modern and the furniture resolutely contemporary in a room all in red and black coated (Stendhal obliges!).

déçu par la désorganisation du service
Nous avions réservé et nous avions l'impression de ne pas être attendus alors que le restaurant était complet. Les menus habituels étaient affichés à l'entrée du restaurant (posés au niveau des pieds dans un espace sombre). A la présentation du menu, le serveur nous déclare que c'est une soirée tapas. Cela n'est pas affiché à l'entrée et on ne nous a pas averti lors de la réservation. Donc nous sommes partis sans avoir pu juger la qualité de la cuisine. On reviendra lorsque le service sera un peu mieux organisé.

Accueil et ambiance très chaleureuse et sympathique.Table réservée pour 4 après une séance cinéma.Le restaurant est plein mais pas d’attente.Tout s’annonce bien.
Hélas grosse déception pour les tajines agneau/légumes.
3 demandés,2 proposés.Mais en réalité,fond de marmite divisé par 2.
Mais bien 22€x2 sur l’addition.
Aucun geste commercial,et un très déplacé :´vous voulez 10 balles?´ a la sortie.Après paiement bien sûr.
Il est vrai que ´le cuisinier a beaucoup donné ce soir.´
