ST. JEROME'S CATHEDRAL
Cathedral Saint-Jérôme classified as a historical monument, benefiting from a large square and offering a beautiful view by a majestic staircase.
In 1490, Bishop Antoine de Guiramand had this church built between his castle (where the prison is now) and the Clock Tower, which had stood alone here since 1412. Enlarged and embellished, it was erected as a co-cathedral in 1962 and classified as a historical monument. Dating from the 15th century, this monument has undergone many changes over the centuries until its current appearance, testimony to the neo-Gothic style of the 19th century. Its wide square and its beautiful view can be reached by a majestic staircase from the rue Saint-Jérome.
