HOUSE ALEXANDRA DAVID-NEEL
Home to Alexandra David-Neel, who left her mark on the highly masculine world of adventure and exploration
In 1924, Alexandra David-Neel became the first European woman to enter the forbidden city of Lhasa, Tibet. An anarchist, feminist and journalist born in Paris in 1868, she left an indelible mark on the male-dominated world of adventure and exploration. In 1928, she settled in Digne, in her house Samten Dzong "Residence of Reflection", where she wrote her works. The villa-museum is exceptionally rich. A captivating visit! Store.
