THE OLD TOWN CENTER

An opportunity to go for a walk in the old town, in the old districts, and in many small shops
A stroll through the old town takes you from one little street to another, either downhill or uphill in the old quarters, with their many small shops and where the street names make you smile: rue du Trou-du-Four, the Pied de Ville quarter or rue de Pied Cocu. A plaque in rue de l'Hubac recalls how Monseigneur de Miollis inspired Victor Hugo in Les Misérables; another in rue du Jeu-de-Paume recounts Napoleon's stop in Digne for a few hours on 4 March 1815 on his return from exile. A real journey through time!
