THE PATH OF ST. PANCRAS
A trail with sublime scenery, offering breathtaking views of Digne and the 1,998-meter-high Pic du Couard.
The Saint-Pancrace chapel was originally a pagan sanctuary from the 9th century. In addition to its sublime landscapes and the attraction of its chapel, the path of Saint-Pancrace offers a breathtaking view of Digne. One can also admire in the distance the peak of Couard culminating at 1 998 m of altitude with the bar of Dourbes stretching on its right. Note: the Refuge d'Art, created by Andy Goldsworthy, a work of art "to be walked" along the trail. Easy 6 km hike. Count 2h30.
