DOMAINE DE L'HOSTAL
Bernard Julien has 350 olive trees, mainly of aglandau variety, spread over 2 fields: 1 at the Mées, on the edge of the canal of Provence (they are irrigated via the canal) and 1 on the slopes of Malijai, a few kilometers away. If some were aged, most trees were planted after the 1956 freeze. The olives, picked at maturity, are pressed at the Mill Henry Paschetta. The oil of the domain of the Hostal is therefore ripe fruity. Bernard Julien sells it to the estate, but also to the markets of Aiglun, Tuesday, Digne, Wednesday, and Thoard on Sunday. It also produces cereals and beef.
