History: The history of the Marque brand, specialized in cosmetic products and natural and biological well-being, begins with Olivier Baussan. When he is 23 years old, he himself distilling the essential oil of rosemary into the local markets of Provence. In 1976, he bought an old soap factory and made the traditional Marseille soap. It was in 1981 that the Occitane installed its first factory in the old lime kilns of the village of Volx in Haute-Provence. Very quickly, shops open everywhere in France and around the world, including New York, Hong Kong and Japan. L'Occitane en Provence is part of the L'Occitane group, which brings together 5 brands of cosmetics, including Melvita. The head office of L'Occitane en Provence is located in Manosque, just like the manufacturing plant.
Particularity: On the site of Manosque, it is possible to visit the factory, to continue in the museum of the mark, and then to the Mediterranean garden by finishing the shop, the largest of the brand in France.
