The center organizes numerous events to raise public awareness of the life and work of writer Jean Giono
The Jean Giono Center, includes an exhibition space and a documentation center housed in the Hotel Raffin (Provencal building of the eighteenth century located at the entrance of the old center of Manosque near the Porte Saunerie), and the Paraïs, the house and gardens of the writer, which are located at the foot of the Mont d'Or. Throughout the year, many events are organized there (exhibitions, literary walks...) to make the life and work of this famous writer better known to the public, as well as guided tours.
