EXFLORA PARK
Superb garden designed by landscape architect Alain Goudot, combining the various expressions of the Mediterranean garden.
Parc Exflora is a sublime 5-hectare public garden designed by landscape architect Alain Goudot. Surrounded by a large olive grove, it brings together the various expressions of the Mediterranean garden, from ancient Rome to the exuberant Riviera of the 19th century, via Provençal, Florentine, Greek, Roman and Moorish inspirations.
As soon as you enter the park, the main terrace, designed in the tradition of those of the Italian Renaissance, offers visitors the most complete view of the garden. One can admire a majestic fountain, a replica of the Cours Mirabeau fountains in Aix. A little further on, an 80-tree olive grove illustrates a long tradition of arboriculture. A pond features carp as impressive as those at the Château de Fontainebleau, but certainly not as old. The false Roman road, paved in the old-fashioned style, is shaded by cypress and umbrella pines.
The Italian Renaissance is also represented, with an open-air theater lined with Tuscan-style arcades of greenery. The luxuriance of Spain is evoked in a Hispano-Moorish orangery, and Morocco follows with its typically cross-shaped gardens, while a graceful Moroccan kiosk completes the illusion. A rose garden closes the floral decor, with a cool room in keeping with Provencal tradition, along the pedestrian path that leads to the seafront. The park is all the more exotic for its location just outside the city.

Une orangeraie, un petit dédale bordé de rosiers (fleuris en février), un étang à l'air un peu sauvage et de grands espaces de pelouses.
L'endroit est joliment aménagé pour un agréable bol d'air.
