Sunbathing on the sand while respecting the environment is now possible in Beaulieu-sur-Mer with the Baia Bella beach restaurant. Since 2021, the establishment has claimed to be France's first carbon-neutral beach.

Solar panels, rainwater recovery and showers for watering... all the facilities are designed to limit emissions. Only 13 tonnes of CO2 in its first year. A result well below the national average, validated by Allcot, the world leader in the study of greenhouse gas emissions.

Food products are often local, drinks are contained in returnable glass, and even the furniture is designed to limit the carbon footprint, being manufactured in Europe.
