CIANS GORGES
Gorges criss-crossed by the Cians, geological marvels with distinctive shapes and colors, GR trails to certain summits
Crossed by the Cians, a small tributary of the Var, these gorges are geological marvels, nicknamed the "little Colorado" of the Alpes-Maritimes. You'll travel through a grandiose universe dating from the primary era and carved out of red schistose rock, with numerous fissures, clues, weirs, waterfalls... La Petite Clue and La Grande Clue are the most easily accessible routes for pedestrians. The Gorges du Cians are particularly breathtaking in winter, when the immaculate snow contrasts with the red of the rock.
