Museum in a pleasant garden in Biot, housing a collection of almost 500 works covering Fernand Léger's entire career.

Inaugurated in 1960, the Fernand Léger National Museum comprises a collection of nearly 500 works covering the painter's entire career: his figurative beginnings, his cubist period; his theory of contrasting forms and colors, which is embodied in a powerful aesthetic of modern life; and finally, his large-scale decorative compositions of the 1950s.

While browsing through the display of this artistic production that spans the first half of the twentieth century, the visitor discovers the eclecticism of Leger's talents: promoter of an art accessible to all, he explores other mediums of expression such as cinema, live performance or crafts (stained glass, mosaic, ceramics, tapestry). The permanent collection is divided between the intimate rooms on the first floor and the larger rooms on the second floor. In addition to the permanent collection, the museum regularly organizes thematic exhibitions with a rich scenography around Fernand Léger in order to better understand the personality and talent of this major artist of the twentieth century, but also educational workshops, screenings (often outdoors) and conferences.

The establishment is located in a beautiful park designed by Henri Fisch, in collaboration with the architect André Svetchine, in which one can walk and admire the mosaics and ceramic reliefs decorating the facades, as well as the monumental works realized according to original projects of Léger.
