SAINT CATHERINE'S CHAPEL
With its Renaissance facade with Corinthian columns and impressive dimensions, this chapel was surrounded by the ramparts of the ancient Breilish city. The altar and the table are in polychrome gypserie of the seventeenth century. The painting represents the mystical marriage of Saint Catherine. There are statues of Faith, Hope and Charity. Its bell, with a piriform bulb covered with colored tiles, is overcome with a slice representing an angel blowing in a trumpet. Once a seat of the Brotherhood of White Penitents of Saint Catherine and the gonfalon, this chapel was decommissioned in 1985 and served as an exhibition room since.
