This bell tower with twin windows is the oldest monument in early Romanesque art identified in the County of Nice. It is the only remaining vestige of the ancient Sanctis Johannes priory. The chapel and the annexes were destroyed in 1707 by brutish soldiers of the Prince Eugène army who retreated after their defeat against Toulon. It has been recently restored. You can also see the remains of the Genoa walls and door, old fortified entrance of the village.
